This piece has the French eagle head mark for 18ct gold

Condition -

The design of this piece has likely changed over time. The leaf design likely continued to the point where we can see a little marks on each side of the band. The piece would then, likely due to wear or damage, have been altered to make it feel like a complete design once again with two symmetrical leaves to each side. One leaf shows more wear than the other
